Individual Therapy in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
At 15, I moved from Europe to the United States and found it difficult to integrate the change. This created an interest in understanding in how our sense of self forms and how our relational patterns take shape. I believe that our childhood experiences have a profound impact on who we become, how we relate to others, and how we see ourselves. It lays the foundation for our relational blueprint as adults.
Together, we focus on understanding how past experiences may be contributing to present-day obstacles and current problems. We work on exploring experiences in deep and resonating ways. At times the work is exploratory. At times it becomes more focused and direct. This allows for work that is both:
precise (targeting specific issues and patterns)
and contextual (understanding how they developed and are maintained)
My approach to therapy is based in curiosity, support, and empathy, and is heavily informed by attachment and psychodynamic theories.
I believe the therapeutic relationship holds a unique kind of intimacy and trust that can be reparative and transformative. Therapy is a collaborative process, and the therapist-client relationship plays a vital role in facilitating growth and healing; providing a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Sessions are available in both 50-minute and 90-minute formats.
