Frequently Asked Questions

  • Both. I offer in-person therapy in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as well as virtual sessions for clients located anywhere in New York.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process experiences that have not fully resolved.

Rather than focusing only on talking through problems, EMDR works with how memories, emotions, and the nervous system are stored, allowing patterns to shift at a deeper level.

  • Not necessarily.

Many people seek EMDR therapy for patterns such as anxiety, relationship difficulties, or persistent self-doubt—even when there is no single clearly defined traumatic event.

EMDR is also an evidence-based treatment for phobias, panic attacks, and much more.

EMDR can be helpful for any experience that continues to feel unresolved or “stuck.”

  • EMDR may be a good fit if:

    • You have insight into your patterns but still feel stuck

    • You notice emotional or relational reactions that don’t fully make sense

    • Previous therapy hasn’t led to the change you were hoping for

We can discuss this more during an initial consultation.

  • I do not accept any insurance plans. At the end of each month of treatment, I can provide you with a receipt for services rendered for your records. These invoices contain all the pertinent information required by insurance companies for out-of-network benefit coverage.

If you’re unsure what your benefits are, you can use this free out-of-network benefit checker: https://calculator.meetnirvana.com/

Prior to beginning treatment, you may wish to contact your insurance company and confirm your out-of-network coverage.

  • Session fees typically range from $200–$300 depending on session length.

Both 50-minute and 90-minute sessions are available.

I also offer half and full day EMDR intensives.
